A rainy Monday night in Leeds was quickly brightened up by a trip down to The Wardrobe, for Holly Humberstone’s show in support of her upcoming Debut Album. The show, in collaboration with the city's very own Crash Records, was announced in August of this year, and given how quickly it sold out, there was some real excitement in the air from everyone in attendance for what was sure to be a special night.

Holly took to the stage in the packed-out Wardrobe for an intimate, stripped-backed set to promote her new album, Paint My Bedroom Black which is due to be released next Friday. The set consisted of new, unheard tracks from said album, alongside some older songs for good measure.
The new songs sounded great, and were well received by the Leeds crowd, and I will be very interested in hearing how they compare to the Album versions given the laid-back nature of the gig set-up.
The 14-song setlist was a real treat, much more in-depth than I have come to expect from other “Album Launch” shows over the past few years. Holly gave some great insight into the reasoning and context of a number of the newer ones.
